Dodgy heroin warning
A "contaminated" batch of heroin could be being sold in Doncaster, police have warned.
The heroin, which has been mixed with a dangerous substance, was initially being sold in Sheffield but could have spread to other areas of South Yorkshire.
Two people who took the drug said it had a bitter taste and was dark brown when injected.
Det Insp Andy Capes said: "The users of heroin need to be aware that if they are taking non-presecribed drugs they are at risk and anyone with concerns about their health should seek medical assistance immediately."
South Yorkshire Police are appealing for further information on the batch. Anyone with information should call 0114 220 20 20.
