Digger stolen from Doncaster crossing

Railway police are trying to trace a mini digger which was stolen from a Doncaster railway crossing more than a week ago.
It was stolen from Station Road in Askern on Saturday, March 9.
Det Sgt Paul Kazimierczyk, of British Transport Police, said: “The digger was stolen from the crossing sometime between 5am and 5.15am. We believe a vehicle was used to transport it away from the scene in the direction of Whitley Bridge.
“I would like to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the theft, or who may have any information about the whereabouts of the digger to contact us. I would also like to hear from anyone who may have been offered this vehicle for sale in suspicious circumstances to come forward in strict confidence.”
