Dad ‘killer’ due in court

A MAN has been charged with the murder of a father-of-three.

Robert Hurdley, 45, of Dinnington, died after suffering a serious head injury following a brawl in Maltby’s Don John pub on the evening of October 14.

Daniel Gerrard, 30, of Highfield Park in Maltby, is due at Sheffield Crown Court next year on murder charges.

He has been remanded in custody.

A 47-year-old man from Maltby has also been arrested on suspicion of assault and public order and is on police bail.

A 35-year-old man, also from Maltby, was arrested for a public order offence and has been released without charge.
