THE following people have appeared at Doncaster Magistrates’ Court charged with the following offences.

WHEATLEY: A reckless teenager pleaded guilty to smashing a car window. Jay Glover, 18, of Hardy Road, was hit with a 80 hours unpaid work, had to pay £60 compensation and £85 costs for the offence which happened on August 4.

CONISBROUGH: A beef thief has been forced to pay back £12.70 to the supermarket he stole from. Robert Sutherland, 42, of Elm Green Lane, admitted taking the beef joint from Sainsbury’s in the village on September 2. He was handed a community order whereby he must attend appointments with an officer for 12 months and pay back the meat’s value to the shop in Church Road.

BIRCOTES: A thug admitted to assaulting another man in the town centre. Greg Brian O’Driscoll, 21, received a six-month drink ban from the town centre and 200 hours unpaid work. O’Driscoll, of Suffolk Road, also had to pay the victim £200 in compensation and £85 court costs for the offence on July 18.

SPROTBROUGH: Having no car insurance has left William Egan out of pocket and with six points on his licence. For the 25-year-old of Tennyson Avenue, pleaded guilty to the April 3 offence after being caught along Anchorage Crescent. He was fined £200 and ordered to pay costs of £100.

HATFIELD: Levi Ross Wade was forced to stump up £40 after being caught with a Class B drug. Wade, 24, of Old Epworth Road East, admitted having a quantity of cannabis on his possession on July 25. Doncaster Magistrates ordered him to pay costs of £40.
