Concerns weather could disrupt Doncaster’s Lincoln meet
Doncaster Racecourse
A Doncaster Racecourse chief has admitted he has concerns that snow could disrupt an action-packed Lincoln race meeting.
The two-day event, which kicks-off on Friday at the Town Moor venue, marks the start of the British turf Flat racing season which runs until mid-November.
However, with temperatures not set to rise above 1C across both days, clerk of the course Roderick Duncan has grave concerns, particularly for Saturday which is set to feature the Lincoln Handicap.
Duncan said: “As far as Friday’s meeting is concerned, it depends when the snow arrives and how much there is.”
He added: “There are concerns about racing at Doncaster on Saturday.”
