BREAKING NEWS: Vile rapist jailed for 13 years for sex attack on OAP in her Dearne home

A RAPIST who subjected to an 88-year-old woman to a horrific sex attack in her own home has been jailed for more than 13 years today.
Anthony Borrowdale broke into the Wombwell home of his victim late at night, turned the lights out and threw her to the floor.
He then raped her while the pensioner screamed for help.
The screams went unheard and the woman was not able to sound her lifeline alarm until Borrowdale had left.
Borrowdale, 56, of Copeland Road, Wombwell, was traced quickly due to the detailed forensic examination of the scene. He was arrested and pleaded guilty to rape on October 2.
He was locked up for 13 years and six months today.
After the sentencing at Sheffield Crown Court Det Con Chris Horsley said: “Thankfully this type of crime is very rare and it is good news that this dangerous man will be spending a considerable amount of time behind bars.”
