THE body found in a beck at Bolton-on-Dearne yesterday has been confirmed as being a man reported missing from Wath.

Mohan Singh, known locally as John, had been missing from his home in Wath since November 26.

His body was found in a beck near Broadwater, Bolton-on-Dearne, at approximately 3pm yesterday.

A post mortem examination is to be carried out later today in a bid to identify Mr Singh’s cause of death, that is not being treated as suspicious at this stage.

The 47-year-old had last been seen at his place of work, Spar Stores on Quarry Hill Road, Wath, at around 10.40am on November 26.
