Blaze spreads to garage

PART of a garage was destroyed in Hickleton after a fire spread from an adjoining coal house.

Firefighters from Edlington and Dearne stations were called to the scene at Fir Tree Close at 5.45am today, Tuesday.

They used a single hose reel to tackle the blaze and left after about an hour.

A South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue spokeswoman said the cause was accidental.
