Ballerina makes it to final
A DONCASTER beauty has been made it through to the final of the Miss Universe competition.
Kim Turner, 18, a ballerina from Edenthorpe, has fought off tough competition from 500 other hopefuls from around Great Britain to be named as one of the 50 finalists to take to the stage at the Miss Universe GB final.
It will take place at The International Convention Centre in Birmingham on May 2 in aid of the Joshua Foundation, children's cancer charity.
The winner will compete in the Miss Universe final this summer, which is run by American tycoon, Donald Trump. The overall winner will spend a year in New York living in Trump Tower.
Paula Abbandonato, director of Vibe Models which organises the event, said: "The girls involved in the competition will help to make a difference to the lives of children who have cancer. We hope to raise at least 50,000."
