Andrew Gosden appeal relaunched on five year anniversary of disappearance

Andrew Gosden, of Balby, has now been missing five years.

Andrew Gosden, of Balby, has now been missing five years.

POLICE are relaunching an appeal to locate missing Andrew Gosden on the fifth anniversary of his disappearance.

Andrew was 14 when he left his Balby home, took £200 from his bank account, before getting on a train to London Kings Cross station where he was last seen.

Five years to the day since his disappearance South Yorkshire Police are urging anyone who may know Andrew to get in touch, so his family know he is safe.

Detective Superintendent Lisa Ray leading the investigation said: “We want to appeal to Andrew himself or even the people who might know him now.

“There could be a doctor or an ex girlfriend who knows Andrew, or knows someone who claims they are from London but has a Yorkshire accent and doesn’t say much about their family or background.

“We know that Andrew is an adult now and has his right to privacy, but we just want him to let his family know he is safe.”

To mark the fifth year of Andrew going missing his dad Kevin will distribute yellow roses to fellow worshippers at St James Church, Balby Bridge, after a service on Sunday.

He is giving the flowers out as a symbol of hope, and he and his family continue to search for Andrew.
