A Doncaster branch of nationwide bakery giant Greggs has been refurbished to offer customers seating and free Wi-Fi.

The Kingsgate store, part of the Waterdale shopping centre, has been re-opened as one of the business’s new look food-on-the-go outlets.

According to a spokesman, the newly reopened shop has been redesigned to “meet the demands of busy ‘food-on-the-go’ shoppers, who typically purchase food to be eaten at their convenience rather than to be taken home.”

The shop layout aims to offer customers a great shopping experience with lots of space for browsing.

Seating and free Wi-Fi is now also available for customers who wish to relax and enjoy their purchases inside the shop.

Customers can enjoy Greggs favourites such as the “iconic” Greggs sausage roll, jam doughnut, Greggs Yum Yum, as well as other savouries and sandwiches which will be freshly prepared throughout the day. Seasonal ranges will also be available.

Dawn Tolan, shop manager at Greggs Waterdale, said: “I am very proud to be managing this new-look shop and the shop team are looking forward to hearing what the local community think of the new look.”

Raymond Reynolds, retail director for Greggs, said: “We are delighted to be able to invest in Doncaster and provide our valued customers with a modern and comfortable upgrade to the shop. This underlines our long-term commitment to the area and I’m sure it will be enjoyed by existing and new customers alike.”
