RUBBISH fires kept Doncaster fire crews busy on Thursday night.

The first incident was reported at 10.45pm at Anelay Road, in Balby.

A crew from Edlington fire station spent 10 minutes on the scene dealing with the fire and used a hosereel to put out the flames.

A fire service spokesman said it is believed that the fire was started deliberately.

A second rubbish fire was reported at 2.20am, yesterday.

A crew from Thorne fire station was sent to the scene at East Lane, Stainforth, where they found some rubbish blazing in a ditch.

The crew spent only a few minutes at the site and turned a hose on the fire.

It was though to have been deliberately started.
