LABOUR leader Ed Miliband reckons he learns more in a day back in Doncaster than he does during a week in Westminster.

Mr Miliband, the Doncaster North MP, spoke after meeting staff and shoppers at Morrisons supermarket in York Road.

He walked the aisles to discuss the future of public services in the town after returning to his constituency on Friday.

Mr Miliband said: “It’s a breath of fresh air to get out of Westminster - you’re back in the real world rather than the world of Westminster.

“You learn a lot more in a day in my constituency than a week in Westminster. By talking to people such as like in the supermarket, you hears about the cuts they are seeing.”
