Doncaster based Intastop, will be supporting the British Heart Foundation (BHF) today by asking all of its staff to wear red and donate money for the privilege.

Its national sales team will also be sporting red as they visit customers and hospital trusts throughout the country.

They are encouraging friends, family, colleagues and even strangers to show their support by donating on the Intastop Just Giving Page which has been set up to raise money for the British Heart Foundation and Cancer Research.

Did you know that one in four of our loved ones are lost to heart and circulatory disease each year? It kills more women than men and is responsible for almost 160,000 deaths in the UK each year, an average of 440 people each day. There are currently 7 million people in the UK living with heart and circulatory disease.

Marie Hanby, marketing manager at Intastop said “We wanted to get involved because a couple of our colleagues have been touched by heart problems including our founder and shareholder John Hills who, after suffering three heart attacks, has indirectly benefitted from the work the British Heart Foundation does. We are hoping to raise quite a lot of money this year for both of our chosen charities which will help them fund the research that is so urgently needed to fight heart disease and cancer. This event has been incredibly easy to co-ordinate and promises to be fun for all involved.”
