An iconic Doncaster town centre building is due to have the French flag projected on to it tonight in memory of the 129 people who lost their lives as a result of Friday's terror attacks in Paris.

A Doncaster council spokesman confirmed that the Corn Exchange will be lit up with the French flag from 6.30pm tonight (Monday, November 16) until 1am tomorrow.

Doncaster fell silent at 11am this morning during a minute's silence for those killed during the co-ordinated terror attacks in the French capital.

There is also a flag flying at half mast at Sir Nigel Gresley Square, as a further act of respect.
