Contingency crews were called out to a number of incidents across the region during yesterday’s FBU strike.
They attended a wheelie bin fire in King Street, Goldthorpe at 10pm.
Crews were then called out to a sofa on fire in a field in Pinfold, Wath-upon-Dearne at 10.40pm. They next attended a car fire at Lodge Road, Carcroft at 2.10am this morning.
FBU members took part in a 24 hour strike nationally from 7am yesterday morning, over an ongoing dispute with the Government over ‘unworkable pension plans’.
