SEVEN children affected by the fall-out from the Chernobyl disaster 25 years ago spent a day enjoying the sand and sea at Cleethorpes thanks to people from Doncaster.

The day-trip was part of a month-long visit to England and organised by the Chernobyl Children’s Lifeline Doncaster link. As well as playing on the beach, the youngsters watched Kung Fu Panda in 3D at the cinema and enjoyed fish and chips in a local restaurant.

The group stayed with host families in Doncaster and also visited Alton Towers and London.
