Betty and Dennis Craythorn are as loved up as ever as they celebrate their Diamond Wedding Anniversary.

The couple, from Wheatley Hills, met in 1949 after Betty caught Dennis’ eye during a night out at Bullars Ballroom and he asked her to dance. It was obviously love at first sight, as later on that evening, he told his sister, Hazel, that he had met the girl he was going to marry - and he wasn’t wrong!
Betty and Dennis were engaged 18 months later and married in March 1954 at St Peter’s Church in Bentley.
The couple have three daughters, five granddaughters and a great grandson and, according to Betty, the secret of their long and successful marriage is down to “caring and sharing”.
The couple celebrated their milestone anniversary by having a party surrounded by their nearest and dearest.
Our pictures show the couple as they looked on their wedding day 60 years ago and as they are now, holding their anniversary card from Her Majesty The Queen to mark their special occasion.
