People are set to travel from across the region to take part in Denaby Main’s inaugural music festival in aid of a cancer charity.
The Summer of Love charity fundraiser will take place at the town cricket field at Tickhill Square on Sunday, August 24, in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
Ranging from local talent to professional musicians, performers will take to the stage from 12.30pm until 11pm.
The varied line-up is set to include The Voice star Doncaster’s Emma Jade Garbutt, Vanilla Gorillaz, who have previously supported The Human League and Jam tribute act All Mod Cons.
There will also be a fun fair, stalls, refreshments and a mining exhibition in Denaby Main Miners’ Welfare.
Co-organiser Denaby man Barney Randall, 58, secretary of Denaby Main Miners’ Welfare, said: “We hope to get a few hundred people here at least. It should be a great day.”
