The demolition of an iconic village pub has got underway.
Bulldozers have moved on to the site of The Roman Ridge, in Barnsley Road, Scawsby.
Free Press reader Ian Barber sent us this photograph of the demolition work taking place.
Once a focal point of Scawsby, the pub has been open on and off for a number of years. It is not yet known what will happen to the site once it is cleared.
The Roman Ridge is the latest pub in the borough to be bulldozed. Other boozers to suffer a similar fate include The Benbow in Armthorpe Road, Intake, The Drum, in Watch House Lane, Bentley and The Moon in Skellow Road, Carcroft.
