Dearne students’ pedal power boosts charity coffers

Students at Dearne Valley College completed a charity bike-a-thon.

Students at Dearne Valley College completed a charity bike-a-thon.

Students and staff from Dearne Valley College braved torrential rainfall to complete a cycle ride in aid of two charities.

The group, pictured above at the college, pedalled 26 miles through the Dearne, Barnsley and along the Transpennine trail to raise more than £1000 for the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation and Sheffield Children’s Hospital.

Tutor John Lund said: “We are very proud of our students.”
