After wowing audiences all over the UK and spending three years in London’s West End, Dancing in the Streets is back and coming to Sheffield City Hall on Wednesday June 13 2012.
With a full supporting company of singers, dancers and the Dancing in the Streets band, experience the excitement and electricity of Motown in this award winning production. Made famous by legendary artists such as The Four Tops, The Temptations, Marvin Gaye, Lionel Ritchie, Diana Ross & The Supremes, Smokey Robinson & the Miracles and Maratha Reeves & the Vandellas, Motown broke down barriers around the world whilst producing some of the most influential and enduring songs of the 20th Century.
Under the direction of Ivor Novello Award winning director Keith Strachan, the Dancing in the Streets company re-create the energy, style and music of the stars of the Motown stable to take you through an extensive repertoire of Motown classics such as: I Heard It Through The Grapevine, Baby Love, My Girl, I’ll Be There, Signed Sealed Delivered I’m Yours, Please Mr Postman, Reach Out I’ll Be There, Stop In the Name of Love, Up Tight (everything’s alright), Tracks of My Tears and of course Dancing in the Streets, plus many more.
