Have you ever thought you’d rather be burning the calories off by dancing the night away in a club instead of pounding the treadmill?
If the answer is yes the latest fitness sensation Clubbercise will be right up your street - and it’s set to make its way to Doncaster next month.
The newly established fitness workout takes inspiration from the club scene.
Clubbercise separates itself from other dance classes, making use of low lighting, disco lights and glow sticks to create an environment that not only simulates that of a real club, but also encourages participants to really let loose.
Accompanied by instantly recognisable club hits from the nineties to present day, from dance to funky house, from R&B to electro hits.
Fitness instructor Sonia Smith, of Sonique Fitness, will be the first to introduce the workout to Doncaster and believes that this is a class that will appeal to both gym enthusiasts and first timers.
She said: “Dancing in a darkened room with disco lights and glow sticks will add more impact to the experience. Allowing participants to feel less self conscious and enjoy the buzzing atmosphere.”
Despite its fun packaging, Clubbercise provides a serious cardio workout, with attendees expected to burn at least 500 calories in a one hour session.
To celebrate the launch of Clubbercise, Sonia will be teaming up with Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice completing a two hour Clubbercise session at 2pm on April 13 at Xercise4less in Bentley, with proceeds going to the charity.
Tickets for this event are £10 and can be purchased at the Xercise4less reception desk.
