A Sheffield cultural centre is holding its grand opening later today.

The Sheffield Alevi Cultural Centre and Cemevi will open between 1.30pm and 4pm at Ecclesfield School, Chapeltown Road.

The centre is part of Britain Alevi Federation. It is an umbrella organisation for approximately 300.000 Alevis living in United Kingdom. There are fourteen Alevi Cultural Centres and Cemevi, (places of worship), serving people in UK.

The centre aims to serve the community for equal and shared lives, to bring out Alevism consciousness. Members gather to also address and undertake Social Responsible Projects concerning adults, youth and children.
