THE first Crowle Market of 2013 was in full swing despite freezing temperatures.
The market was the first in the town since the hugely successful Christmas Market which attracted a huge numbers of visitors. Stalls selling a variety of food and crafts were on offer for shoppers.
And although the number of people who supported the event were thought to be down on previous markets, Crowle town councillor Paul Vernum said that was only to be expected in January.
“It was bitterly cold,” he said. “But we did have a few stalls and quite a few people came along to have a look.
“We didn’t perhaps expect a huge turnout with it being January.”
The markets are held in Crowle Market Place on the second Saturday of each month. The next is on February 9
