An 18-year-old man has been jailed for the rape of a woman in Doncaster.
Aiden Boylin, of Avenue Road, Wath, was sentenced to four years and eight months at Sheffield Crown Court on Monday, February 17.
The incident happened in the early hours of Saturday, November 9, last year when Boylin took his 18-year-old victim to a churchyard in Chequer Road, Doncaster, after a night out.
The victim told her family and reported the attack to police.
Officers arrested Boylin the same day. He was charged and remanded into custody on Sunday, November 10.
He admitted the offence at his first court hearing at the end of November.
After the hearing, detective constable Stephen Cartlidge, who lead the investigation, said: “The victim has shown tremendous strength and courage throughout this investigation and I hope that this sentence brings her some closure after what has been a very traumatic few months.
