A house siege in Doncaster has ended this lunchtime.
Two young men were escorted from the property in Atholl Crescent, Intake, by riot squad police at around 12.40pm .
There was no violence and nobody was injured.
About five minutes earlier family members and two solicitors approached the house with a police escort.
Afterwards a woman called Sylvia, who said she was the mum of one of the men said: “It’s a successful outcome. We went up to the house and they could see us.
“We did not negotiate with them. They could just see us there.
“This has only happened because they were drunk. When they sobered up they came out.”
Chf Insp Gwyn Thomas said officers were still searching the property after the matter ended through peaceful negotiation.
He said neither man was injured and they were arrested on suspicion of committing offences of violence.
Police were called to the street at around 7am today.
