Thieves have stolen lights worth around £1,500 from three Land Rover Discovery vehicles in Doncaster.

Culprits struck between 7pm on Wednesday, 5 February and 10.40am on Thursday, 6 February at Broadway, Dunscroft, when a silver Discovery was targeted.

Between 9.30pm and 7.30am the same night, thieves stole lights from a black Discovery at Mill Lane, Warmsworth.

And the most recent incident happened at Moss Road, Moss, between 11.30pm last night, 6 February and 9.15am today, Friday, 7 February.

Police are now warning owners of all vehicles to be extra vigilant.

Said Superintendent Eddie Murphy, of South Yorkshire Police: “We’d urge owners to put their vehicles in garages if possible or if not, park tight up against a wall to make it difficult for thieves.”

South Yorkshire Police launched Operation Lockdown in October to combat house burglary and vehicle crime. So far, over 1,200 suspects have been arrested.
