Police are still seeking information about an attack on two sheep last month in Stainton that left one dead and another nursing serious injuries.
The animals, belonging to a 57-year-old farmer, were found to have bite injuries, at a site between Tickhill and Braithwell. They are believed to have been caused by an unidentified animal.
One of the sheep had to be put down as a result of its injuries.
Police say they believe the sheep had been attacked between noon on Wednesday, August 13 and 1pm on Friday, August 15.
They say this is the second time that the farmer’s sheep have been targeted. A 20-year-old man was arrested and bailed in connection with the incident.
Anyone with information is asked to call South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 538 of 15 August 2014.
