Police are trying to trace the man pictured as it is thought he may hold vital information about an incident in Balby on June 8 during which a man exposed himself to a 12-year-old girl.

 

South Yorkshire Police have now released a CCTV image of man who they believe may have vital information about an incident in which a man exposed himself to a 12 year-old girl.

The incident occurred at around 6.30pm on Sunday, June 8 as the girl was walking through a park off Waverley Avenue, when she was approached by a man who asked her to expose herself in return for money.

She was scared and refused, before calling her family for help.

Pc Caroline Thomas said: “This was, understandably, an upsetting and distressing thing to happen to a very young girl, and I would urge anyone with any information to call us immediately.

“We have already carried out extensive enquiries and now hope that the man pictured in this CCTV image can help us with the investigation.”

Officers are seeking to trace the man in the attached image, who is described as slim, tanned and in his twenties.

He is clean-shaven and has dark, short wavy hair.”

The man in the CCTV image, or anyone who knows who he is, should call South Yorkshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 1060 of June 8 2014.
