Police have released an e-fit of a man they want to trace over a robbery on a South Yorkshire street.

Officers released the image as part of an investigation into an incident in Hickleton, Doncaster, on Thursday, November 28, at 7.15pm.

South Yorkshire Police said an 18-year-old man was driving along Hickleton Road, towards Barnburgh, when he was flagged down by two pedestrians, who asked him for directions.

The driver pulled over and got out of his car to give directions, when he was grabbed from behind.

His wallet was stolen and two suspects drove off in a dark-coloured saloon-type car.

Detectives are trying to trace witnesses to the attack and hope releasing the e-fit will lead to some calls to the force.

Anyone with information should call South Yorkshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 1077 of November 28.

Information can also be passed to Crimestoppers, anonymously, by calling 0800 555111.
