Doncaster magistrates convicted a man of sexual assault against a woman on a train from Newcastle to King’s Cross, while his nephew admitted racial abuse against a rail employee on the same train.

Jamie Davies, 38, and Jay Littlebury, 23, carried out the offences in March of this year.

Davies, of North Magdalene, Consett, pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing to sexual assault and being drunk and disorderly in a public place.
