E-fit released in bid to catch conman

Police in Doncaster have issued an efit appeal in connection with an incident when an elderly, vulnerable woman was duped.

Officers are asking that anyone who recognises the man get in touch urgently.

At around 10.30am on Friday, April 6, an 84-year-old, vulnerable woman from the Broadway area of Dunscroft, Doncaster, was visited by a man, who claimed he had undertaken work at the property and asked for several hundred pounds.

The woman handed over £50, but a relative says that no work had been carried out.

The man is described as white, aged between 20 and 30 years, around 5ft7in tall, of medium build with short, dark brown hair with a top, front-tooth missing. He is described as having an Irish twang.
