Officers from the Intake and Wheatley Safer Neighbourhood Team conducted a number of patrols in the area after residents complained about drug use and noise nuisance.
The SNT officers worked with Doncaster Council and St Leger homes to step up their patrols in Intake to tackle the problems.
Police officers and a housing officer visited a property on Montrose Avenue where they found a 7ft cannabis plant growing in the property that was seized and destroyed. The occupant of the house received a caution. They also executed a warrant at a property on Sidney Road after reports of noise nuisance. They attended the house along with an environmental health officer and seized a large stereo system with surround sound speakers. St Leger Homes issued a warning regarding the tenancy conditions.
Pc Dave Fisher said: “We will continue to work closely with our partners and ensure that we tackle any issues and concerns that residents tell us about.”
