Police have released an image of a man they wish to speak to who may hold crucial information about the theft of tools from a car in Doncaster town centre last Christmas.

A motorist parked his Renault Laguna in an alley next to Garage Bar on Silver Street but when he returned to the vehicle on Wednesday, December 25, her found the £800 worth of power tools had been taken.

Police believe the tools were stolen between 4am and 4.25am on Christmas morning and, as well as wishing to speak with the man in the CCTV still, officers want to hear from anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the Silver Street and Nether Hall Road areas around that time.

Anyone with information should call South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 269 of December 25, 2013, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
