A 21-year-old man has been hit over the head with a bottle in an alleged unprovoked attack at a Doncaster hotel. 
At around 11pm on Saturday, February 28 the man was with friends at the Cumberland Hotel, Wheatley.

When the man went outside alone to the smoking area, he was confronted by a group of men.

One of the men is alleged to have hit him with a glass bottle.

He sustained head injuries as a result of the attack.

Police would like to speak to the men pictured in the CCTV footage, as they may have vital information about the assault.

PC Emma Taylorson said: “This was a nasty and unprovoked attack and we would urge anyone with information to contact the police.

“We know from the CCTV footage that there were lots of people in the area around the time of the attack and I would encourage them to please come forward.”

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or been in the smoking area at the time or immediately after, or who may know the identity of the men in the CCTV images to please call 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting incident number 1203 of 28 February 2015.
