Each burglary took place between midnight and 6.30am.

Most of the offences took place on Wheatley Hall Road and Thorne Road, Wheatley Hills.

PC Rob Scarrow said: “The offenders are not deterred by alarms and the common method of entry is to smash the front door window of the premises, or force the shutters.

“I am extremely keen to speak to anyone who may have information regarding the people in the CCTV images.

“These incidents are causing damage to local businesses through loss of earnings and the cost needed to repair any damage caused. I would ask businesses not to keep large quantities of cash on their premises.”

Anyone with information should call South Yorkshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
