The following crimes were reported to Doncaster police on July 1. Anyone with information should call police on 101.

Tickhill: Would-be burglars removed a pane of glass from a window at a house in Pinfold Lane yesterday morning but the owner heard the noise and no entry was gained.

Balby: An intruder got into a house in Woburn Close through an insecure door while the occupier was in the garden yesterday evening and stole a handbag containing £150 worth of property.

Thorne: Burglars got into the conservatory of a house in Inglenook Drive on Monday night because the door was insecure and stole a purse and some rings.

Bessacarr: The double glazed back door of a property in Warning Tongue Lane was damaged over the weekend but the burglkars were disturbed and did not get inside.

Stainforth: The padlock of a garage in East Lane was forced before two mountain bikes were stolen.

Hyde Park: A thief smashed a passenger window of a car parked in Cunningham Road and stole a satnav.

Intake: A CD player was stolen when a car parked in Leicester Avenue was broken into yesterday afternoon.

Hatfield: A garden planter was stolen from outside a house in Somerton Drive on Monday night and a 4ft high antique postbox disappeared from the garden of a house in Norman Road, also on Monday night.
