Doncaster crime round-up - Bikes stolen in overnight raids

The following crimes were reported in Doncaster on May 28 and 29. Anyone with information contact South Yorkshire Police on 101.

Auckley: Thieves snatched a set of tools from a back garden in an overnight raid. They struck at a property on March Avenue sometime between 7pm on Tuesday and 8am on Wednesday. Offenders stole a spade and a rake that had been left unsecure in the yard.

Conisbrough: A thief stole a top of the range bike from a back garden. The culprit sneaked into the back yard of a property on Welfare Avenue between 8pm on Wednesday and 1am on Thursday.

Mexborough: Thieves stole solar lights from a front garden. The two lights were taken from outside a home on Sedgefield Way between 8pm on Tuesday and 9am on Wednesday. One light was in the shape of an owl, and the other a lighthouse.

Blaxton: Jewellery was stolen from a Blaxton home after two thieves forced their way in through a back door. The break-in happened at a property in Lower Pastures between 5pm and 5.20pm on Wednesday, May 28. Police are trying to trace two men seen running from the scene.

Edlington: Thieves stole electrical items after breaking into a home through a patio door. They broke in by smashing a window pane in the door before taking a TV and computer from the property on Dukes Crescent, Edlington, between 12.30pm and 3pm on Wednesday.

Thorne: A TV was stolen from Thorne Social Education Centre. Thieves gained entry by smashing a window at the Colman Street venue at about 4.15am on Tuesday. Police do not have a description of the thieves at this stage.
