police want to trace this man after a fight broke out onboard a train between Sheffield and Cleethorpes.
Officers were called in after a brawl broke out between two men as the train stopped at Scunthorpe.
Detective Sergeant Paul Kazimierczyk, of British Transport Police’s Criminal Investigation Department, said: “A verbal argument began between the men that quickly led to an aggressive fight. “One of the men was punched in the face causing a split lip as well as sustaining bruising to his chest.
“The men involved left the service at Scunthorpe before police arrived and officers are keen to track those responsible down. This violent incident was played out to a busy train of passengers, some of which included families travelling home.”
“Behaviour like this will not be tolerated on the rail network and we are appealing for anyone with information to come forward and help police with the investigation.”
