THERE was an increase in calls to police for Wroot-related incidents last month.
Neighbourhood officers reported a rapid rise in offences, particularly for thefts and non-dwelling burglaries during the night.
As a result police attended a surgery/meeting at Wroot Village Hall towards the end of December which saw a large turnout from local residents.
Time was spent listening to concerns and officers explained ongoing activities, including work with partner agencies and the local community, to prevent future incidents.
Meanwhile PC Tina Starbuck said this month’s Haxey Hood event was enjoyed by all with very few incidents of public order being reported to the police.
Anyone witnessing suspicious activity should call police on the non-emergency 101 number.
