The following people have appeared at Doncaster Magistrates’ Court charged with the following offences

n DONCASTER: A reveller’s eight-week prison sentence cut deep after he was found with a knife in a nightclub. Damien Bobis, of Park Road, was in possession of a craft knife in Mambo’s club in Silver Street, on October 22. The 26-year-old admitted having the blade which was destroyed by South Yorkshire Police.

n DONCASTER: A bacon burglar has been recalled to prison after stealing meat from a hotel while out on licence. Christopher Charlton Lister, 27, of Langton Road, was caught trespassing at the Premier Inn in High Fishergate on July 26. After pleading guilty to theft, Lister was ordered to a total of 182 days.

n EDLINGTON: A man has been banned from town centre licensed premises for a year for being drunk. Anthony John Turner, of Howbeck Drive, was handed the order by magistrates after he admitted being drunk and disorderly in public following a disturbance in the Market Place on October 26. The 43-year-old was fined £50 and ordered to pay £100 costs.

n SKELLOW: A woman committed more than a fashion faux pas when she was punished for stealing over £140 worth of clothing. Caroline Hamill, 34, of Elm Road, faces an eight-week curfew during which she must remain at her home between 7.30pm and 6am. She admitted shoplifting after taking goods from New Look on October 27.

n TOWN CENTRE: A 35-year-old may not be smelling so sweet in prison after being caught taking perfume from a major fashion chain. Jonathon Lee, of Gordon Street, faces a 16-week sentence because he committed the offence during a community order. He pleaded guilty to nicking the perfume worth £76 from Debenhams on November 3.
