DETECTIVES have launched their second murder investigation in the space of 24 hours after the body of a man was found in his house.
Police were called to Stone Close Avenue in Hexthorpe at around 10pm last night.
The man, a 42-year-old has not yet been named. A post-mortem examination to establish the cause of death is due to take place later today.
A 37-year-old Doncaster man has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
Officers have not yet released any more details.
Stone Close Avenue is where pensioner Nora Tait was murdered in her home as she sat down to eat a fish and chip lunch in 2005. An intruder bludgeoned the 69-year-old grandmother to death.
Nobody has every been charged with her death, which remain Doncaster’s highest profile unsolved murder.
