THE heartbroken father of murdered schoolgirl Casey Kearney has issued an emotional plea for the return of a stolen laptop containing photos and videos of his daughter.
A number of items including the black Sony ‘VAlO’ laptop were taken from Anthony Kearney’s home in Meadow Croft, Edenthorpe, between 7.45am and 12.35pm yesterday.
He said: “Losing Casey has been so painful words cannot begin to explain.
“Photos and videos hold all the precious memories of my beautiful daughter and I desperately want these back. Photographs hold an incredible sentimental value to anyone, these pictures even more so as I will never be able to take any more of Casey.”
McAuley Catholic High school pupil Casey, 13, of Rossington, was stabbed near Elmfield Park on February 14.
Det Con Scott Barley, who is investigating the burglary, said: “I would urge anyone who has any information to please come forward to assist with the investigation and the return of the laptop to Mr Kearney.”
Hannah Bonser, 26, of Cusworth House, St James’ Street, Balby Bridge, Doncaster, has been charged with Casey’s murder and two counts of possession of a bladed article.
Anyone with information should call police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111, quoting incident number 384 of March 15.
