Barn blaze at farm

FIRE crews acted fast to rescue four dogs after a barn caught fire in Cudworth.

Around 20 firefighters were called to Schofield House Farm on Storrs Mill Lane at 9.30pm on Monday night.

Firefighters used three main jets to extinguish the blaze and they rescued the dogs from a nearby kennel before leaving the scene at about 2am on Tuesday.

Two acetylene cylinders were also found at the scene and a 200m cordon was put in place, while fire cooled the cylinders. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
