Baby clothes alert after two Doncaster break-ins

TWO baby clothes shops have been raided in separate incidents in Doncaster.

The first break-in happened at 11.30pm on Monday, March 18, when it is believed thieves smashed a window in order to gain entry into a shop at Danum Retail Park, on York Road. It is thought that £1,500 worth of stock was stolen.

The second incident occurred sometime overnight between the evening of Monday, March 18 and the morning of Tuesday, March 19 at a shop on High Street in Bentley. It is believed that the thieves got in by removing tiles from the roof.

A police spokesman said: “Officers investigating both incidents would like to urge anyone who has been approached by people wanting to sell a large quantity of brand new baby clothes, that they suspect may be stolen, to contact South Yorkshire Police.”
