Attempted armed robbery at Post Office

Two men in possession of a suspected shotgun attempted to rob a South Yorkshire Post Office this morning.

Police are appealing for information to the alleged robbery, which occurred at around 10.20am today.

Officers were called to the Post Office, based on Rotherham Road, Maltby, following reports of an attempted robbery.

Nothing was stolen and no one was injured during the incident.

The men are believed to have left in a van.

Detectives are investigating the incident and inquiries are ongoing.
