DETECTIVES are on the hunt for two thieves they believe are responsible for stealing fuel from a number of petrol stations across the borough.

Officers say alleged thefts of fuel have taken place in up to ten petrol stations in Balby, Hatfield, Thorne, Cantley and Doncaster’s town centre throughout the month.

They would like to speak to the driver and passenger of a White Ford Escort van (pictured) because they may hold vital information relating to the drive offs.

The men are described as wearing hooded tops or baseball hats to hide their identity.

On each occasion officers believe that they have taken fuel and left the forecourt without attempting to pay.

If anyone recognises the van or knows the identity of the two men, call police 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting incident number 751 of November 7.
