The following pwople have appeared before magistrates in Doncaster:

n CONSIBROUGH: A vodka thief will have a sobering seven days after being jailed. Paul Alan Wright, of Elm Green Lane, admitted taking the £13.99 bottle of spirit from Rhythm and Booze off-licence store in Conisbrough on April 4. Magistrates said they took the decision to jail the 38-year-old due to his, long, previous record of similar offences.

n HEXTHORPE: A 20-year-old has been put under curfew for smashing through a woman’s front door. Liam McGarry of Ramsden Road, pleaded guilty to causing damage to the door at a house in Elmfield Road in Hyde Park on June 22, as well as a further count of possessing cannabis, both whilst on a community order for a previous drunk and disorderly offence. He was put under an 8pm to 5am curfew until August 7, told to pay £350 in compensation to the home owner, £35 in fines and a £15 victim surcharge fee. The drugs were also confiscated and destroyed.
