The event was part of their continuing support of the facility to highlight the great work the charity does for the area and also to enable them to speak with the volunteers and shoppers.

The shop is the main vehicle of the Crowle & Ealand Regeneration Project which has helped raise thousands of pounds for the area.

Money raised has been used for donations to local groups, such as Ealand Victory Hall and Crowle Lights, hanging baskets, bins, concerts, the services directory and maintenance of the hedgerow along 7 Lakes, cenotaphs and the Regen Way.

Coun Barker said: “The work that Regen do is a tremendous asset for the area and we should be proud of this and continue to support it in any way we can.”

Coun McCartan added: “I urge local residents if they are thinking of having a clear out to bring all quality clean items to the shop to help them continue to raise funds for the area or why not call in for a bargain?”
